The Best Cannoli Dip

WARNING: this dip is highly addictive and habit forming.

Oh dear, I almost feel bad about unleashing this recipe on you all. I’m not kidding, I almost wrote an apology instead of a clever blurb because you are not going to be able to stop eating this! Seriously, it’s on a “You’re gonna have to pry the bowl from my cold, dead fingers,” level of deliciousness. I think we can all agree no one is eating the cannoli for the shell. It’s all about that cream! And let me tell you, this is so unbelievably luscious and creamy. Not too heavy (magically), not too sweet, with just enough chocolate chips. This makes enough for a crowd. It’s perfect to serve party style in the middle of a platter with fresh strawberries, graham crackers – literally anything!

 

Ingredients:

 

8oz cream cheese, room temperature

8oz ricotta

8oz mascarpone

1 + 1/2 teaspoons orange zest

1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

 

1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric hand mixer on high for a few minutes to aerate it. Add the ricotta and mascarpone and continue to beat for 2 minutes until mixture is well blended and fluffy.

2. Add the vanilla, orange zest, and powdered sugar and mix on medium-low to combine. Fold in chocolate chips.

3. Transfer to a storage container or serving bowl and refrigerate until ready to use.
